Sing it karaoke-styleThe story behind the song
'Ha'or BaKatze' ('The Light at the End') pairs Yaakov Gilad's words with Yehuda Poliker's melody, sung by Arik Einstein — the calm, beloved voice of Israeli rock — on his 1997 album 'Le'an Parchu HaParparim'. It is a letter to a young woman about fear, growing up and the light that keeps flickering at the end of the dark: candles go out, winds blow all night, but the morning light cannot be extinguished.
