Sing it karaoke-styleThe story behind the song
'Dod' (Beloved) is a dreamlike Israeli love song by Dudi Levi, with words by Meir Goldberg. The singer follows the beloved through the footprints of water drops to marble mountains, sculpts her face there, and crosses bridges and rainbows — all to say one thing: 'Dod loves you, forever.' It reached no. 18 in Israel's 2005 annual song parade. The word דוד means both 'uncle' and 'beloved'; here it is a man's name for himself, a tender vow of devotion.
