Lola
לולה
Israeli band (comedy and pop) · 1997–2000

Biography
Lola (לולה) was an Israeli band active from 1997 to 2000, made up of four performers who came up through the entertainment show 'Paltfeus': Idan Alterman, Yarden Bar-Kochba, Yasmin Kedar and Avi Greinik.
The group built original, humorous stage material and released a single album, which sold about 10,000 copies — modest, but enough to leave one indelible song.
That song, 'Yamim Shel Sheket' (Days of Quiet), words by Yarden Bar-Kochba and music by Avi Greinik (arranged with Natan Cohen), was their sole major hit and placed ninth in Israel's 2000 annual song parade.
Bar-Kochba wrote it in grief after the death of her father, Aluf (res.) Moshe Bar-Kochba; its flood-and-dove imagery turns personal loss into a quiet promise of hope.
Lola reunited for a single performance in 2016, but 'Yamim Shel Sheket' — covered by others, including on 'Zehu Ze!' in 2022 — is the song that keeps the band's name alive.
