Yasmin Moallem

Singer-songwriter, rapper & producer · b. 1995

Biography
Yasmin Moallem (יסמין מועלם) was born in Jerusalem in 1995 and studied at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music.
Her debut album 'Arie' (2020) — released amid Israel's first COVID lockdown — turned her overnight into one of the most talked-about new voices in Israeli music and earned her a Forbes Israel 30under30 spot.
She writes, raps and produces her own records, fusing R&B, hip-hop, bedroom pop and Mizrahi melody into a distinctly modern Israeli sound.
Her Hebrew is sharp and slangy — full of loanwords like 'פיד', 'סטייל' and 'בלגן' — which makes her songs a window into how young Israelis actually speak today.
